The meeting 2019 International Symposium of Microbiology on Environment and Health & Annual Meeting of Overseas Chinese Society of Microbiology (Sino-Micro 2019) was co-hosted by Overseas Chinese Society of Microbiology (Sino-Micro) and the State Key Laboratory of Microbial Resources (SKLMR, Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences), on July 12-15, 2019 in Beijing. The meeting was held at the UCAS International Conference Center, Yanqihu campus of UCAS. Professors, student representatives from universities, and business representatives across the country attended the meeting.

At the symposium, scientists shared the major knowledge breakthroughs in fundamental science and technology and the latest progress in the microbiology. The doctoral students in the fourth year of our research group participated in this meeting and expressed their great harvest. Prof. Zhou Cong-Zhao reported on molecular ecology and structures of freshwater cyanophages, and had warm interactions with the audience. At the same time, the student Cheng Meng-ting obtained the best poster award.
