From June 16th to June 19th, 2019, the 6th National Symposium on Cryo-EM and Structural Biology was held in Gushui North Town, Beijing. This meeting was organized by the Cryo-electron Microscopy Academic Subgroup, Biophysical Society of China, hosted by Peking University, and co-organized by the China Electron Microscopy Society's Cryogenic Electron Microscope Professional Committee. Professors, student representatives from universities, and business representatives across the country attended the meeting.

At the symposium, scientists shared their research significance, methods and the latest research results from cryo-EM. Part of the students in the second year of our research group participated in this meeting and expressed their great harvest. At the same time, Prof. Chen Yuxing and Associate Prof. Jiang Yong-Liang reported on the application of cryo-EM in membrane protein function research and the exploration of phage infection mechanism, respectively, and had warm interactions with the audience.
